Elaine grew up in Maryland but has been living in Massachusetts  since 1989.  While a stay-at-home mom, she spent many years making quilts, curtains, and hand-embroidered and smocked outfits for her four children.  In 2005, she started working as a high school English teacher.  She also coached varsity soccer for five years. In 2015, she took her first pottery class at Purple Sage Pottery in Merrimac, MA, and was instantly hooked.  She has since created a home studio and started a small business. When she is not potting or teaching, she loves spending time with her family, especially on the lake in Maine.  She is also loving grandmotherhood.
