Thank you for visiting this page to find out what we're doing in this transitional summer.
Typically summer is the time when we are open the most, but also get a bit of a break from doing everything ourselves- because we get help from our team of seasonal employees. But, nothing has been "typical" since March 2020.
This year, we must operate in a limited capacity due primarily to a shortage of labor. We have a great little team that's working with us to provide awesome food three nights a week. We have recently expanded the take-out program to include dinner and drink service on our deck (weather permitting!) serving our Micro Menu and our full dinner menu, picnic style in disposables.
We are VERY much looking forward to a return to dine-in.
There is SO much we miss about having our customers eat next to where we're preparing it all.
Take-out has kept La Boca alive this past year and we're immensely grateful. We're also brimming with ideas for when we can finally hold a seat for you inside and welcome you back to our table.
We project a post-Labor Day opening for dine-in by reservation only, in order to plan & practice small numbers of guests in the dining room at one time.
We will continue our take-out program for customers who prefer to stay outside the building- and that, we will do indefinitely. Our industry has changed, and we as individuals have changed somewhat as well. We are committed more than ever to caring for our customers and providing an exceptionally delicious meal. We're also a little more cautious about work taking up too much of life- when you love what you do, this is always a risk.
As some of you know, we have two little girls (5 & 2 yrs old) who have really enjoyed having their parents around. That's one lesson from COVID we're not eager to dismiss. This summer isn't exactly what we'd hoped to do, but it won't be hard to make the best of it.
Thank you for your interest in what we do. We hope you and your families are able to enjoy this renaissance with one another!

We are touched by the kindness and generosity of our customers as we all try to navigate the changes in our world and our daily lives.
On March 16th 2020, when Governor Sununu declared all restaurants must close or switch to take-out & delivery, we quickly adapted our business and opened as scheduled with a new format, modified menu, and no staff. We were met with an outpouring of well wishes, e-gift card purchases, take-out orders and thoughtful notes. Thank you.
These days, we’ve had to learn to be patient with ourselves, as we can’t always change as quickly as we want. Yet we learn something new with each passing week: how to improve our systems, how to modify favorite dishes for travel and how to try and keep things exciting.
As some of you know, our family of four (two chefs, two little trainees) shares a home with our parents here in Wolfeboro, real “multi-generational living.” It’s wonderful and challenging in all the right ways, and thankfully each household has its own kitchen! I don’t know that our plan would be any different if we didn’t cohabitate with what is now known as “the vulnerable,” but it certainly helps clarify what might have been grey areas. No financial gains would ever justify the risk of putting our loved ones in harm’s way; livelihood and lives have never been more disparate.
While each business, and each individual chooses their own path forward in the “reopening” of the state, we too must choose.
La Boca will continue to offer our thoughtful and creative food only in a take-out and delivery format for now.
It is our sincere hope that our beloved restaurant can stand this test, and emerge stronger and resilient. In the meantime, we will continue to give our all to providing you, our customers, with joy, comfort, escape, and adventure with food.
We love you and we thank you.
